Alpha 2

This was a huge update to the game. You may not notice the difference from the this version and the previous one but I can assure you that this update was huge. At least for me.  Allow me to share some with you.

Typo

This is an easy one but also annoying since there was one that I missed that I couldn't believe that I did miss. When I first made this game there were so many typos it was unbelievable however I can pride myself and say there are a lot less typos now than there were before. The one that annoyed me was when you find your friend Firmin and above the text box it shows the person who's speaking's name. The playable character, Desta name was spelled Deska. I don't know how I messed that up but I'm glad I found it.

Cthulhu Sprite

This one I've always wanted to fix but didn't really get around to fixing it for some reason but figure that this was a bigger update I should just fix it. It's not as noticeable his walk cycle was off. It looked like he was hoping on one leg but now it's a complete walk/run cycle which I'm proud that I fixed.

Chase Sequence

This is the one I was proud of! The Cthulhu chase was pretty bad before. Sometimes when Cthulhu is chasing you, he would veer to the left or right for unknown reasons. He would also get stuck behind obstacles as well. It's not fun being chased by a dumb villain. It makes it comical. But now Cthulhu is much more aggressive and goes the shortest route to get to you! This one was exciting for me and was really glad that I figured this one out! The game might be a little more harder but it's worth it!

Future Updates

These are updates I'm thinking about doing but not 100% sure yet...

Sprite Changes: I don't want to use the RPG Maker's default sprites anymore. Even though this was a game jam game and was made on the fly, I have much more room now to do what I want with it. I'm very proud of this game and would love to make it much better.

Availability on App Stores and Steam: This one would be amazing. However, the game is about 25-30 minutes long so it may not be worth it. I'll see...

Better Artwork: I want to make the artwork of Cthulhu catching you better. It looks like a 5 year old drew it and takes the fear out of it. I've had a friend say it's scary up until you get caught and it's hard to take it seriously after that. That's not good. Despite the fact that I did this on my own and had only 7 days to do everything, I now have much more freedom and one of my goals is to make the artwork much more scary.

Update Sound Effects: I used to do Sound Design heavily before I decided to just become a solo dev. I would love to update the sound effects and make the atmosphere much more creepy...

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who's played the game or at least checked it out a little bit. Every bit of feedback helps! Hope to hear more and hope you enjoy the game!
